Gaming in education: can it help?
Watching your child learn to read is a magical process. The rate that they progress from simple phonics to entire words is remarkable, and sometimes as adults we forget just how tough this journey can be!
At The Listening Bookshop we love libraries. We support them passionately, and truly believe in the wonderful things that they do. However, we are aware that changes are on their way. Changes which, potentially, could threaten the existence of this well-loved institution.

We are really excited to welcome you to this blog, our own little reading corner of the internet, where we look forward to exploring literacy, reading, and technology, and to share our news with you. We also hope to build meaningful two-way engagement with you, the parents and educators of our budding young readers.
We love non-fiction, and are really proud to showcase the Oxford Reading Tree's InFact series of titles in our bookshop. Providing a wide range of texts for children to engage in is so crucial in developing an avid reader, and is supported wholeheartedly by the National Curriculum.
